Make Facebook work for your business (Part 1.5)
by Philip Scott
Thank you for the Facebook friend requests! Its good to put faces to the names isnt it?
This is part 1.5, because the stuff I wanted to tell you about isnt ready yet (Hurry up Luke!), so instead Ill tell you about something else thats really important!
People.
Yes, I know I always talk about systems and how to get your business more efficient, but most of our business would not survive without people! For me, systems are there not to replace people, but to make people more efficient, and to let them concentrate on what people are good at ... communicating with other people.
OK not all people are good at that!
We have a new breakfast starting up in Park Road Milton, I mentioned this last week, but I want to remind you again :) For anyone within 50km of this venue ... it would be well worth you attending. Let me tell you why.
It is a new venue, a new host (Ruane Lipkie) and Ill be there too! It is an opportunity for you to meet some people you havent met before. You may not realise how valuable this can be!
I met my business partner (Shane Leite) at a SAbona business breakfast. We have now been in business together for 7 years.
I found an investor for a business venture ... at a SAbona business breakfast.
ALL my biggest software development contracts have come directly from people Ive met at SAbona business breakfasts.
All our property loans, car loans are through people weve met at SBN breakfasts, so are all our insurances. I have personally referred literally millions of dollars worth of business to people who regularly attend SAbona business breakfasts.
We deal with people we know we can trust. And people deal with us because they know they can trust us. They know they can trust us because theyve seen as at the breakfasts time and time again. So if youre trust-worthy, honest and good at what you do, make sure you come along because there is a lot of business.
Going to a new breakfast is great. Its a newdifferent vibe ... and you stand the chance of becoming one of the more instrumental people involved in it (that means you end up with more benefit!)
So come along. Youll be glad you did.
