An exhibition inspired by life experiences from Zimbabwe to Kununurra, expressed in a collection of work by local award winning artist Paula Wiegmink.
Paula travels back to Africa as often as she can to renew her love and respect for the abundant wild life which never ceases to inspire her. Viewing animals and birds in their natural environment is a truly humbling experience.
For the first time in April this year, Paula visited Kununurra in the North West and was awe inspired by the incredible scenery that unfolded as she flew over and toured through the Bungle Bungles, landed by amphibian plane on the waters of the great Lake Argyle and then journeyed by boat on a 50 km tour down the Ord River to arrive back in Kununurra town just as the sun was setting. It felt as though I had landed on another planet, she said, having been blown away by this incredible landscape.
A very personal interpretation of all the sights, sounds, shapes and colours evoked in Silent Reverie are captured in a variety of subjects, mediums and styles drawing on Inspiring moments in time from two contrasting continents.
You are all welcome to visit and chat with Paula in the relaxed setting of Colour Lust Art Space, Unit 1, 3 Coventry Parade, North Fremantle, between Tuesday 8th Monday 14th November-10am 5pm daily.
