The Queensland Buffers Association Inc. recently hosted an African Night in Beenleigh, Queensland.
The Buffers, which was established in Queensland five years ago, participates in an annual international soccer tournament.
The organisation works closely with the South African Australian Multicultural Association, which focuses specifically on music and dance and was born out of activities done in 2008 when the Queensland Buffers hosted the international soccer tournament.
The Multicultural Association is a not for profit association that co-ordinates and manages the South African Carnival Band and is first and foremost a performance and cultural group.
The band provided entertainment at the recent African Night and in 2009 performed at the African Australian Business Council conference on the Gold Coast, at the Queensland 150th birthday celebration at the Brisbane Botanical Garden and at the International Day of Peace Alliances Peace Festival in Brisbane as well as several other functions.
